Founded in 2014, Sonaya Group is a multi-unit franchise operator and real estate investment company. We opened our first Great Clips salon in October of 2014 and since then have grown our portfolio to 15 locations, making us the largest franchisee and salon operator in New Mexico.

 

In 2021, our company launched Koala Insulation of Albuquerque and Santa Fe and became the sole exclusive franchisee through the purchase of all available territories. In 2024, we acquired the remaining available territories and became Koala Insulation of New Mexico. The launch of Koala Insulation introduces the first franchised and professionally managed insulation services business to the state of New Mexico.

 

In May of 2025, Sonaya Group made its first investment in the QSR space with the acquisition of all 10 operating Del Taco restaurants in New Mexico, with plans to further develop the market.
